Got to beach ~11:00 and didn't seem too windy. Rigged up 6.2m on 86l wave board and found there was enough in the gusts, though there were plenty of holes in the wind.

For some reason, the sail never felt right. Totally gutless, even. The sail was always touching the boom near the back end which can't have been good, despite putting on plenty downhaul & outhaul. When de-rigging, I found that the two mast halves were not butted together so maybe that was the problem.

All in all, a worthwhile sail though frustrating due to the above. Sadly few waves around either, so not too much air time, though the cross-shore wind lent itself to good frontside rides on the odd small wave.

About 16:00, switched to 110l Fanatic Cross, but it really wasn't worthwhile as the wind had dropped too much by then.
